• Job Context
• The Educate Rohingya Children Programme (ERCP) is a structured, culturally aligned humanitarian education initiative designed to address long-term education challenges affecting Rohingya communities experiencing displacement and educational deprivation. ERCP is the implementation programme through which the Rohingya Education System (RES) is intended to be delivered, strengthened and expanded. The programme promotes safe, inclusive and structured learning opportunities through literacy, numeracy, foundational learning, life skills, digital skills and clearly defined education pathways, with emphasis on equal access, community participation, teacher development, safeguarding, progression and future self-reliance.
• The Project Manager will provide overall leadership, coordination and management of ERCP implementation in alignment with the Rohingya Education System (RES) and its learning framework. The position will translate programme objectives into effective field implementation while ensuring programme quality, inclusion, safeguarding, community participation, teacher development, monitoring, accountability, operational coordination and continuous improvement.
• Job Responsibilities
• Lead overall planning, implementation, coordination and management of ERCP activities in accordance with approved programme objectives and implementation arrangements.
• Develop and regularly update detailed workplans, implementation schedules, activity plans and operational priorities.
• Coordinate implementation of RES learning standards and relevant curriculum/framework requirements across programme-supported learning activities.
• Facilitate appropriate implementation of the Academic Pathway, Learning Recovery Pathway, Adult Learning Programme and Vocational Education and Training pathways according to programme scope and learner needs.
• Oversee establishment, operation and quality improvement of programme-supported learning centres and promote safe, inclusive, culturally appropriate and learner-centred environments.
• Promote equitable participation of girls and boys and ensure gender-sensitive approaches are integrated into programme implementation.
• Coordinate teacher development, including initial training, continuous professional development, mentoring, peer learning, teaching resources and professional support.
• Strengthen meaningful engagement of learners, parents, families, teachers and Rohingya community representatives.
• Ensure safeguarding principles and appropriate protection measures are integrated throughout programme activities.
• Ensure systems for baseline assessment, learner evaluation, attendance monitoring, safeguarding monitoring, progress reporting and community feedback.
• Ensure learner assessment, progression tracking and quality-assurance mechanisms and promote consistent curriculum, teacher, assessment, safeguarding and accountability standards.
• Coordinate financial, administrative, logistical and human-resource requirements and monitor responsible resource utilisation.
• Promote responsible use of technology for learner records, programme monitoring, education management and digital learning resources.
• Maintain effective coordination with communities, partners, education stakeholders and other authorised actors.
• Prepare and submit high-quality programme progress, management and narrative reports to the Programme Director.
• Identify implementation challenges and risks, ensure timely corrective measures, and document lessons learned and good practices.
• Support technical and strategic partnerships required for implementation, programme strengthening and future expansion.
• Perform other programme-related responsibilities assigned by the Programme Director consistent with the scope of the position.
• Educational Requirements
• Master’s degree in Education, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management or another relevant discipline from a recognised university.
• Experience Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, including substantial experience in project/programme management.
• Additional Requirements
• Strong knowledge of project-cycle management, implementation planning and results-based management.
• Understanding of humanitarian education, inclusive education and community-based programming.
• Demonstrated team leadership, coordination, problem-solving and decision-making capacity.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, accountability and community-feedback approaches.
• Strong analytical, report-writing and presentation skills.
• Strong communication skills in Bangla and English.
• Knowledge of the Rohingya response context and relevant local/community languages will be an advantage.
• Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and digital project-management/reporting tools.
• Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: BDT 70,000 per month. Other benefits will be provided in accordance with the approved project budget and organisational policy.
